How to put a WhatsApp link in your email signature

Create the link with a message that mentions email, copy it and paste it into your signature as text or a button. Every email you send becomes an invitation to chat.

Type it with the area code. The country comes from your language and you can change it.

How the person will see it
The person still has to tap send. The link does not send anything by itself.

Type a valid number to create yours. This link uses a test number.

Type a valid number to copy the link.

Step by step

  1. Create the link in the generator above and copy it. Use a message like "I'm writing about your email".
  2. In your email app, open the signature settings.
  3. Paste the link on text like "Message me on WhatsApp", save, and send a test email.

TipUse short text for the link. A huge address in a signature looks odd and can wrap onto several lines.

Menu names change from one version to the next. That is why this guide tells you what to look for, not where to click.
