We warn you before you print it wrong.
We tested colour and logo combinations against a QR reader. These results became our rules, and the studio applies all of them live.

WhatsApp Web QR or message QR?
It shows up at web.whatsapp.com. It links your WhatsApp to a computer. WhatsApp itself generates it, it changes on its own and it is not meant for print.
I need to sign in to WhatsApp WebIt stores your number and the message inside the code. Whoever scans it opens a chat with you. It is static: it does not expire, has no scan limit and can go on any printed piece.
Make my QRNo subscription. No limit. No expiry.
The code is made in your browser and written into the picture itself. If we disappeared tomorrow, your QR would still open the chat.
How to print a QR that works
The 1 to 10 rule of thumb: the QR needs to be at least a tenth of the distance people will scan from. Long messages need more: see the suggested minimum size next to your QR. Before you send 1,000 copies, print one and test it with two different phones.
Frequently asked questions
Does a WhatsApp QR code expire?
This one does not. It stores the number and the message inside the picture, so there is no deadline and no scan limit. The WhatsApp Web QR, used to sign in on a computer, is temporary.
What is the difference between the WhatsApp Web QR and a message QR?
The WhatsApp Web QR links your WhatsApp to a computer and WhatsApp itself generates it. A message QR opens a chat with a number and a ready-made text, and it can be printed.
Can I put my logo in the QR code?
Yes, within a limit. Our limit is 15% of the code area, and the studio does not let you go past it. Larger logos stopped scanning in our tests.
What is the minimum size to print?
It depends on the code. With a short message, from 2 cm. Long messages need more, and the studio shows the suggested minimum next to your QR. Rule of thumb: the QR should be a tenth of the scanning distance. To scan from 1 metre, use 10 cm.
Do I need to sign up to download?
No. The QR is made in your browser, with no account and without sending your number to any server. We keep only your style and message in this browser. Never the number.
How do I create a WhatsApp group QR?
Choose Group invitation and paste the chat.whatsapp.com link copied from WhatsApp. Download and test before printing. If an admin resets the invitation, create a new QR.
